Charges
Good
voice studios in London (like Silk Sound) - with equipment
similar to mine but without producer or river - are
currently charging at least £130 per hour + tape + Vat!
London "Demo Factory Cowboys" charge about £400 for two
sessions of group 'lessons' and 30 minutes (if you are
lucky) in a recording studio! These are my current charges
for Monday to Friday daytime sessions - other times by
negotiation!
Recording
'Professional' Voice Tape. £350
Tape
duration determined by your ability. 6 hours maximum time
for discussion recording and editing. Full use of all
scripts, music, effects, jingles etc. As much help,
direction, and advice as you want. Tea, coffee, mineral
water, and sandwich lunch included. Master Tape on fully
track indexed CD
Short
Session' of 3 hours £200
in
which you put your voice on existing commercials or
commentaries, or record something of your own choice.
Everything else as above.
The
Advantages Of Having A CD For Your Master
You
will take your master away on a fully indexed CD - complete
with printed label. This is the cheapest way of getting high
quality copies. Commercial tape duplicators charge about
£1.60 per copied tape. But you can buy professional
tapes for 60p (I will tell you where) and if you have your
master on CD all copies will cost only 60p - provided you
own a CD player and cassette deck. Having your master on CD
lets you decide the precise content and order of each
individual cassette. Remember - precisely targeted tapes
get results!
Pro-Tools
Session £80.00
in
which your new and/or existing recordings are loaded into
Pro-Tools and (using cut and paste, and cross fades) a
1½-2 minute collage is produced for your agent to use
in their publicity material or for you to put on your
website. You do not have to be present for this. The cost of
the extra CD and post and packing is included.
Demo
Demo. £5.00
A
30 minute cassette with examples of voice tapes (including a
fine example of the work of the 'Cowboys') and extracts from
several 'acting' tapes. Cost refundable.
There are no
hidden extras! The maximum charge is £350 - 6 hours with me and
your recordings transferred to CD (while you wait). Tea, coffee, biscuits,
mineral water, and Anadin are all included. If arriving by train you
will be driven to and from the station. Final details will be sent to
you about 1 week before your session.
